Job Description
**Role Summary:** Delivery of Safety Cases and supporting documentation. Provision of technical support to project leaders in the delivery of Safety Cases for the decommissioning of nuclear facilities **Essential Responsibilities:** Management and delivery of Safety Cases to support De-commissioning activities: + Production of Safety Case Documentation in line with Nuclear Licence Conditions + Act as technical secretary within desktop Hazard Identification (HAZID) techniques such as HAZOP and FMEA plant walkdowns and operational reviews. + Lead / Act as technical secretary at operational HAZID studies such as Plant Walkdowns and Operational Reviews + Assess and approve Operational Safety Documentation such as Method Statements, Permits to Work, etc + Carryout and document radiological consequence analysis + Constructing clear, concise ALARP arguments + Provision of technical support in the derivation of design solutions aiming to demonstrate ALARP + Derivation of Safe Operating Envelope for nuclear facilities and ensuring validity throughout the project life cycle + Production of Safety Test Schedules for the inactive / active Commissioning Phases of the Safety Case + Development and maintenance of working relationships with project stakeholders within EHS (Environment, General Safety, RPA, etc) and other departments across the Grove Centre. + Familiarisation with Legislation and Guidance applicable to the production of Safety Cases + Application of fundamental legislation such as HASAWA, IRR, NIA, RSA + Familiarity with technical guidance such as SAPs, TAGs, Industry Safety Case forum advice, etc + Comply with the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Policy, applicable laws and regulations. + Complete all GEHC Ltd planned EHS training within agreed deadlines. + Maintain defined levels of housekeeping and ensure a clean, clear workplace. + Identify and report any safety concerns and unsafe conditions taking immediate corrective action where practicable. + Report all incidents, including near-misses, occupational injuries and illnesses. + Participate in EHS meetings and workplace inspections. + Support (through appointment to an identified role) to the Site Emergency Arrangements at the Grove Centre + Provision of regular updates through line management with respect to current workload, forthcoming issues (technical or workload),etc **Qualifications/Requirements:** + Safety Case Experience in a similar role in the Nuclear industry. + Communication & Influencing Skills + IT LiteracyApplications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications.
