Job Description

Role Summary: Responsible for assembling and testing equipment in a safe and efficient manner within our Zenith Sensors workshop facility in Stoneywood. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join the Oil & Gas industry, utilise a recent NC/HNC/D for example or apply your electronic skills within a new field. Essential Responsibilities: + Assemble and test equipment in accordance withengineering drawings, tech units and manuals. + Apply settings, calibrate and maintainassembly tools. + Pull component parts to produce kits requiredto assemble tools. + Perform basic warehousing activities whenrequired. + Responsible for fulfilling individual goalsand objectives as well as contributing to the goals and objectives of theteam. + Responsible for adherence to: workinstructions, procedures, processes and documentation relating to theassembly department. + Ensure the work area is maintained in a safeand proper condition through correct handling and storage of equipment andtools. + Contribute to the development of the teammembers + Ensure HS&E policies and procedures andQuality System Procedures are followed at all times. + Special projects as assigned. + Any Other Duties as Required. Qualifications/Requirements: + National 5 in English and Math essential,additional pass in Technical subject desirable + Previous experience in an electro-mechanicalenvironment is desirable. + Experience of wiring and soldering ispreferred but not essential. + Experience of working in an assembly or productionenvironment is preferred. + Ability to read and interpret documents suchas engineering blueprints, safety instructions / manuals; maintenanceinstruction and procedure manuals is essential. + Excellent understanding of theresponsibilities of housekeeping and safety processes for self and others,displaying an active interest & vigilance in the safety of others, suchthat the holder can identify, prevent, discuss and rectify hazardoussituation is essential. DesiredCharacteristics: + Ability to recognize, solve & implementrequired changes for Assembly related problems. + Ability to work in a team and use owninitiative. + Skills in the use of Microsoft Officepackages, including e-mail. + Organisational skills. + Communication skills.
