Job Description

**Role Summary:** Advanced Manufacturing Engineers provide dedicated technical support to a nominated production line within the Leicester manufacturing facility. Successful candidates should expect to work in a fast-paced, customer focused production environment, providing quick and effective solutions to daily production issues, provide reactive support for production process issues or Return Material Authorisation Investigations, and contribute to longer-term process improvements to drive productivity. **Essential Responsibilities:** Own the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering resources for execution of quality projects throughout the Leicester supply chain. Own the Test and Calibration AME resource ensuring the training and skills deliver the required standard of investigation in line with customer expectations. Own and monitor metrics, agree actions where appropriate to meet customer requirements. Lead & support Root Cause investigation activities to identify manufacturing issues and optimise build/test processes, to improved yields. Influence NPI and CPO teams across business to ensure targets for Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) are met for all product introduction. Support Brilliant Factory initiatives, including development of digital tools to visualise, monitor and analyse out-of-specification conditions, reducing investigation time and response time to Quality problems. Drive AME team strategy to identify growth and skills development for improving the team's capabilities, identifying required training courses, and upskilling the team's ability for solving complex technical issues. Influence Site & Global leadership team to drive improvement opportunities into real projects that deliver impact for the business Coaching and empowering individuals to realize their potential through performance development (PD), identifying individual growth plans and supporting development/training needs **Qualifications/Requirements:** HNC/HND or equivalent experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering discipline Understanding of complex Electromechanical Assembly in a very technical production environment. Experience in leading multi discipline engineering teams, to support a matrix organisation. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability, Lean Manufacturing techniques, Quality System, and SPC tools. Hands-on capability with good knowledge of manufacturing and calibration processes. Provide electro-mechanical support to technology & manufacturing Leading and contributing member of large cross functional teams Strong background in interpretation of complex Engineering drawings/specifications, and manufacturing process. Strong Analytical & problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in technical writing and development of procedures Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Shainin Red X certified apprentice. **Desired Characteristics:** Experience of using SAP software Mechanical Engineering experience Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Shainin Apprentice Experience with pressure measurement technologies Knowledge of manufacturing process and design Customer facing experience.
