See what our people have to say about working for Schneider Electric: Your mission: As a PCB Design Engineer & eCAD Librarian, you will work on multiple board designs for residential heating control devices and own the eCAD Library. You will be an integral part of the Electronics Design Engineering Team and will collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Procurement throughout the entire product development life-cycle. Working closely with design engineers and board assembly vendors, you will deliver high-quality board designs to timescales and cost. Your main responsibilities: * Perform all PCB design activities - schematic entry, component placement, and signal routing * Create and maintain eCAD libraries - parts, schematic symbols, footprints, 3D models, datasheets, RoHS/REACH certificates * Set up and maintain Design Rule Checks * Generate manufacturing packs for PCB and PCBA for fast prototyping and volume manufacture * Conduct board layout analysis and provide inputs for design feasibility studies * Liaise with mechanical team to ensure PCB compatibility with enclosure design * Collaborate with board fabricators and assembly vendors to apply appropriate DFM/DFT guidelines and resolve manufacture-related issues * Work closely with procurement to facilitate multi-sourcing of components and lower-cost alternatives About you: * Technical degree in electronics or equivalent industry experience * Understanding of PCB technologies, fabrication & assembly processes, and industry standards * Experience with Pulsonix / Mentor Graphics / other eCAD/MCAD tools * Experience in laying out high-speed, high-density, impedance-controlled, multi-layer PCBs * Knowledge of signal integrity and EMI control * Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools - Word, Excel * An enthusiastic attitude towards learning and growing as the role and the company evolve.
