Job Description

Role Summary: To act as the primary interface between the Customer and BH in support of on-going Controls projects; responsible for providing technical support for allocated clients, this includes the financial control & technical management/planning of offshore/onshore equipment maintenance & refurbishment, ad-hoc system troubleshooting, regular client interfacing, communication and reporting. Essential Responsibilities: + Handleinitial client enquiry; to clarify scope of work/supply; to develop andmaintain project plan + SupportITO department by providing inputs to quotations, variation orders forreimbursable work, and participate in budget & cost reviews. + SupportOTR department in monitoring progress of orders, track variations to check howvariations will impact Price & Delivery. + Produceactivity forecasts and reports; to prepare and update client specific monthlyreports; to prepare departmental reports. + Initiateengineering kick-off meetings; to develop and maintain "project plan".Development of project related work packs. + Provisionof pre-job briefings and post-job de-briefings to Field Service Engineers. + Provisionof technical support to Field Service Engineers; may need to participate in SIT/ FAT activities. + Participatein "lessons learned" project review meetings. + Controlof client owned equipment's; Identification of project equipment requirements (tooling,spare parts). + With thesupport of appropriate engineering disciplines, proactively manage equipmentupgrades, field extensions and additional control system facilities planned bythe customers. + Performanceof client support activities; reporting, technical support, attending progressand close out meetings. Qualifications/Requirements: + Degree inMechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience + Experienceworking within Oil & Gas, and specifically Subsea Controls Industry + Abilityto read and interpret schematic diagrams (P& ID's) + Teamplayer with professional and positive personal presence + CommunicationalSkills - Should able to Communicate Effectively with Customers in all types ofmedia. + DiagnosticSkills - Understanding of Engineering problems and how to resolve them + FacilitationSkills - able to refer to appropriate internal expert in order to resolveclient problem + Financial/Commercial awareness - Understanding of Financial Information, budgets & costingto ensure effective cost management of fixed-price and reimbursable work withinremit + TechnicalSkills - Ability to provide Technical Support & Solutions to Clients + Flexibilityto work extended hours as circumstances dictates + A goodknowledge and understanding of compliance and ethics codes + Proficientin using Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint) with goodtyping skills Desired Characteristics: + Experienceof working in a Customer Service environment (Customer Orientated) or able todemonstrate strong customer focus + Work as aField Service Engineer highly advantageous + WorkExperience on hydraulic systems and in particular Work Over Control System ishighly advantageous Locations: Stoneywood, DyceThis is your opportunity to learn more, do more, live thecareer you have imagined and be part of a truly diverse organizationBaker Hughes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
