Job Description

We are looking for a Associate Director Statistics for a leading pharmaceutical company that focus within oncology, immunology, neuroscience, infectious diseases and vaccines, and cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. In this role you will provide lead support for the design, execution, analysis, interpretation, and reporting or communication of data evidence. This is a technical leadership role providing input to program plans identifying and assisting in the implementation of innovative statistical approaches. This is an exciting and challenging role for a candidate with a strong interest in, and a deep understanding of, the fundamentals of statistical methods and approaches, and to build on these skills to explore and discover new ways to contribute with innovative statistical approaches in a challenging business context in the support of early phase oncology research. They offer: * Competitive salary * Annual bonus * Extremely competitive benefits package Responsibilities: * Established track record of problem-solving and troubleshooting including significant regulatory and decision-making support at a program level. * Demonstrated advanced data analytic expertise based on a foundation of statistical principles and a strong track record of applied experience leading to successful support of multiple programs. * Responsible for the quality and timeliness of project deliverables. * Demonstrated thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical research and development strategies and execution. * Accountable as a point of contact leader for a specific project or program and the management of all related project/program deliverables. * Established leader for providing input to team in terms of optimizing study or trial designs in line with study or indication level objectives, and supports scenario simulations and sample size calculations. * Supervise contractors/special assignment personnel/interns/co-ops as required. Serve as a role model, and mentor to statisticians and other scientists. * Lead process improvement or standards development initiatives. * Identify and implement advanced statistical approaches to handle complex project/program related features. * Build and manage cross-functional partnerships with internal colleagues and with external partners Qualifications: * Ph.D. in Statistics or related field with strong relevant experience, or Master's in Statistics or related field with commensurate years of relevant experience. * Ability to work independently. * Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary contexts outside statistics. * Experience in Oncology is a plus. * Able to show that you can move beyond established approaches and can demonstrate innovative approaches developed. * Clear and demonstrated interest in the deep technical issues of some of the higher dimensional data in early phase clinical trial analysis
