Job Description
The Role: Charlotte Tilbury understands the power of makeup like no-one else. With over 25 years at the forefront of the makeup industry working with the worlds A-list models, celebrities and designers, Charlotte has poured her best-kept secrets into an edited but all you need skincare, make-up and fragrance collection. This role within the pivotal Product Development department will be responsible for bringing new product innovation to the CT range by delivering on full cross-functional CPA management of assigned NPD launches, from leading conceptualisation through to production completion. Colour cosmetic projects will be the primary focus of the Product Development Manager, therefore in-depth colour knowledge and passion are essential. In addition, some key launches across the skincare category will likely require management also. This role will work very closely with our Packaging, Regulatory, Marketing and Operations teams ensuring that all key individuals are engaged and fully up to date on the requirements & running of each project. The Product Development Manager will also have line management responsibility in the form of an NPD assistant / support role. Beauty industry research, sales analysis, new product conceptualising, supplier briefing, ingredient research, cross functional CPA management, costings, product testing, briefing and presenting to the team and Charlotte, will be classed as the key responsibilities day to day. The ideal candidate will be experienced leading within a team, project managing blue sky and range extension beauty products. They must have at least 5 years previous experience within the beauty industry with a strong focus on colour. Skincare development experience is also required. Key Responsibilities: * Focus on developing & building the Charlotte Tilbury product portfolio * Full management of assigned colour cosmetics & skincare projects * Beauty industry research & analysis * CT & industry sales analysis * Full cross-functional CPA project management - coordinating & delivering innovative & luxury products on time & within budget * Bluesky innovative product conceptualising curating new product proposals * Supplier working relationship management & building * Working with 360 teams to coordinate & deliver on project objectives * Clear product briefing to suppliers & feedback on submissions * Project costs & margin management - negotiation & sign off * Active ingredient research & coordination with Regulatory team * User & clinical trials briefing with Marketing to Technical Manager * Setting up & tracking testing of submissions with artists & testing panels - collating valuable feedback & direction * Presenting formulas & product concept decks to NPD, Charlotte and wider teams * Line management of Assistant role within NPD team * Travel overseas to supplier factories & innovation trade shows Requirements Key Selection Criteria: * Self-motivated, eloquent and dedicated to the brand a positive member of Team Tilbury * Proven & experienced project manager * Strong experience in full colour cosmetics & skincare product development management * Passionate & in-depth knowledge of the beauty industry * Strong knowledge of formulations & active ingredients * Experience or knowledge of user & clinical testing trials procedures * Strong network & relationships with industry suppliers * Excellent organisational & communication skills * Good research skills * Strong negotiation skills * Positive & effective leader with experience of managing an individual or team * Experience with sales data & analysis * Adaptable & flexible team player * Skills using Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint * At least 5 years previous experience within product development in the beauty industry Benefits * Dog friendly office * Generous staff discount to use on all products * Access to Tilbury Treats our very own rewards platform allowing you to save money and gain money cant buy discounts on anything from gym memberships to cinema tickets * Other fabulous benefits such as life assurance, birthdays off work, team sales incentives and many more Our Mission TO MAKE EVERYONE FEEL THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VERSION OF THEMSELVES WE WOULD LOVE TO WELCOME YOU TO OUR TEAM!
