Job Description
Smart Solutions Recruitment is looking to recruit Traffic Enforcement Officer for our client based in the Leicestershire area. This is an on-going, temp to perm opportunity offered to the successful and suitable candidates after 6 months. You will be working as a part of a busy team within the following areas: Blaby District Council, Harborough District Council, Melton Borough Council and Oadby and Wigston Borough Council and Leicestershire County Council. Start Date: W/C 15.06.202 Shift Patterns: Rolling rota of 5 days out of 6, with every 6th week is a long weekend; Saturday, Sunday and Monday off. Shifts are 07:30 to 15:20 and 10:00 to 18:00. Pay Rate: Starting pay rate £9.50 Pay Rate after 6 months £10.03 Main Duties and Responsibilities: · Patrolling car parks and public roads as instructed. · Enforcing Traffic Regulation Orders as they apply to the parking or prohibitions to parking of motor vehicles on public roads and highways in whichever District you are based. · Enforcing the Council's Off Street Parking Places Order on car parks in the Council's District · Issuing of the lawful notices, including Penalty Charge, Fixed Penalty and Incident Report and other generic offences · Ensuring that all Car Park equipment and signature is maintained in a serviceable condition fit for the purpose of lawful parking operations · Performing cash handling duties, if required in a proper and accountable way as instructed · To wear a uniform issued by the Council for the lawful performance of duties correctly and in accordance with instructions · Treating customers with courtesy and respect at all times · Keeping the general public safe by ensuring vehicles are parked legally and correctly · Ensuring personal safety at all times and that of team members when necessary · Regulating traffic flow Candidate requirements: · Clear DBS Check - will be completed as a part of the recruitment process · Full valid UK Driving Licence and an access to a suitable vehicle · Able and willing to work in all weathers, patrolling on foot for long periods in uniform provided · Capable of carrying the necessary equipment for the duration of the shift (approximately 3kilos) · Willing to work within different local council districts · Ability to work shift patterns Benefits of working for Smart Solutions: · Weekly pay · Full PPE will be provided · 28 Days of holiday a year · Opportunity to progress · Employee of the month scheme- vouchers to be won Due to a large number of applicants, we will be reviewing all the applications, and contacting suitable candidates.
