Job Advert Role Description Priory Hospital Burgess Hill is located in beautiful West Sussex and offers the opportunity to gain experience across many specialist mental health disciplines including Secure Services, a DBT Locked Rehabilitation service, HDU Services and Acute care. With a CQC rating of GOOD across all 5 Key Lines of Enquiry, you would be working in a forward thinking hospital supporting our patients recovery alongside a highly skilled and dedicated Multi-Disciplinary Team. We are currently looking for a qualified Social worker to join our Therapies team, using their skills, knowledge and understanding of practice to provide a Social Work Service to patients within the secure environment. You will be responsible for: Identifying and contribute to the assessment and management of risk, whilst balancing the need for public protection Offering a Social Work perspective to work with patients and the multi-disciplinary team, highlighting and challenging discriminatory structures and practices where identified Acting as the main contact between relatives, agencies and other official organisations taking a lead in negotiations and communications regarding patients, co-ordinating multi agency liaison Assisting and supports regional management in developing and implementing new services To act as Appropriate Adult (under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act) for patients when required Experience and qualifications required: Degree level Social Work qualification Registration with GSCC (RSW) Detailed knowledge and understanding of current legislation Experience within a similar setting (forensic, criminal justice or mental health) Our benefits: 25 days annual leave pro rata (excluding bank holidays) Opportunities for further career development Health cash plan and Life Assurance A Group Personal Pension Plan (GPPP) Employee Assistance Programme Flexible benefits (including preferential rates and access to schemes such as gym membership, IT, shopping discounts) Free meals and parking on site whilst on duty Division DBS info About us As one of the UK's leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services to adults and young people, Priory Group promise a challenging and fulfilling career with the support of a world class organisation willing to invest in your development.
