Job Description
AMU Band 5 Staff Nurse Advert It is an exciting time to be joining our team in the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at the Royal Berkshire Hospital with great career opportunities. AMU is an emergency medical admissions unit providing assessment of patients requiring immediate investigations, stabilisation and treatment. We are expanding our nursing establishment as we have increased our bed base to 53 beds, which includes a refurbished larger 6 bedded Higher Monitoring Unit (HMU). The HMU cares for critically ill patients with mainly respiratory problems who require respiratory support such as non-invasive ventilation. There are 3 Practice Educators that work within the units to provide supervised practice, additional skills training and support. We have advanced developmental passports which are competency based to support your learning for both AMU and HMU. We are happy to recruit newly qualified nurses, as well as, experienced nurses. We offer career opportunities for nurses developing advanced skills in critical care and Advanced Nurse Practitioner rotational posts into our Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit.
