Internal Controls Analyst - Europe Description Closing date: 18 th June 2020 This is a fantastic opportunity in Wellingborough for an Internal Controls Analyst. Reporting to the European Internal Controls Leader, this role will drive regional Finance and Operational teams across Europe to achieve Process and Control functional excellence through hands on support, guidance and training. This is a unique role, where you will play an influential part in the success of a regional Finance Team for an international business. You'll be given great exposure to the business, presenting a great opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a supportive environment. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to); + Perform business process and internal control reviews for each business unit, region, distributor or plant. Evaluate the effectiveness of the internal control environment and make recommendations for improvement where necessary. + Partner with key stakeholders within the business to implement process and internal control improvements across the region. + Support in the development and execution of the annual control plan. + Develop an understanding of Cummins' business processes, to identify risks and opportunities for improvement in safeguarding company assets and business operations. + Identify internal control issues and improvement opportunities that are meaningful and practical. + Prepare and review internal control documentation (i.e. process maps, flowcharts, control matrices) to ensure documentation is current, and in accordance with company requirements. + Share results, observations and improvement recommendations to key stakeholders. + Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting and internal control systems. + Collaborate with auditors (including Business Process Analysis team, internal auditors and external auditors) to resolve internal control deficiencies and with Accounting Policy to resolve accounting issues. + Provide training and coaching to colleagues on internal controls, accounting and company policies.
