Job Description

Senior Biomedical Scientist Edinburgh £30,000 - £38,000 My client are currently recruiting for a Senior Biomedical Scientist for their Edinburgh service. Established for nearly 30 years their Scotland services are achieving VERY GOOD and cater for a range of specialities. One of the largest providers of private healthcare in the UK with 40 hospitals and 10 clinics employing 8000 staff and treating 950,000 patients each year. They offer treatment for private patients, funded by health insurance, those choosing to pay for themselves and NHS patients. Duties and responsibilities * You will assist in the organisation, management and development of services within the specialty of expertise provided by the laboratory * Your role will be to liaise with the Laboratory Consultant and the Laboratory Manager, to ensure the provision of the high quality service in an efficient and cost effective manner. * You will plan, analyse, assess and report pathology investigations, as well as analyse, interpret and report information and knowledge related to ideas and concepts. * You will also develop and evaluate the movement of laboratory specimens, blood and tissues CRITERIA * HPC registration * Demonstrable post registration experience * Transfusion and haematology experience This is a full time role working Monday - Friday Band 6/7 up to £38,000 per annum + many benefits
