Client Group Overview The Client Group has a presence in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, and is composed of five main areas: * Sales & Client Services works with financial intermediaries and institutions to offer diversified investment solutions that help clients build and preserve their wealth * Business Development is a conduit to the firm's investment teams and supports our clients and internal business partners through investment-platform and product content, messaging, competitive analysis and education * Product Strategy & Development designs, develops and manages the firm's global lineup of investment services and considers clients' evolving needs to identify new opportunities * Marketing promotes the firm and its services by creating, packaging and distributing content and messaging to engage diverse audiences through digital platforms and initiatives, strategic campaigns, and events * Business Transformation looks to evolve and scale our business, leveragingdigital and data, todrive top-line growth and improve profitability Job Summary The Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Specialist partners with the Head of Responsible Investing (RI), our investment teams and sales distribution to promote and drive the growth of our Responsible Investing brand and products. The ESG Specialist serves as product champion for our ESG product suite and, together with the RI team, is a champion for overall firm level support/advocacy, as well as focus on various channels and/or regions to ensure advisor/client support and competitive insight. Job Description Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Work with the Head of RI to develop messaging, competitive positioning and sales force training on ESG Integration and the Portfolios for Purpose platform, including a consistent set of slides to demonstrate ESG integration in all firm strategies. * Serve as key contact for ESG-related opportunities driven by global Retail and Institutional Sales. * Work with Consultant Relations, Strategic Relationship Group and other key distributor teams to build consultant and home office advocacy for selected strategies. * Become a spokesperson for AB's RI/ESG capabilities, demonstrating a deep understanding of RI trends, AB's corporate responsibility activities and AB's investment platforms including Portfolios with Purpose. * Utilize broad capital markets, equity, fixed income and multi-asset product knowledge to work with the Head of Responsible Investing, Product Development and Investments on ideation of new Portfolios with Purpose strategies, and/or variation of existing strategies. * Work with marketing and public relations to create a strategy that raises AB's profile in RI. * Develop a thought leadership agenda to reinforce AB's brand in RI and promote specific strategies. * Regularly create new sales ideas/ways to advocate for AB as an ESG/RI thought leader (e.g., blog posts, thought leadership ideas, client events). * Provide oversight and quality control of our ESG communications to clients, which includes reviewing and updating prospecting decks, commentaries, fact sheets and product overviews for all ESG-related products, and updating internal sources (e.g., Salesforce, the firm's intranet portal) and working with RFP Data Team to ensure accuracy of database information. * Drive efforts to build the necessary reporting capabilities and infrastructure to support ESG integration, engagements and other offerings. * Work closely with the firm's Head of RI on the firm's Annual Report and other key initiatives. * Partner with the Portfolio Managers and RFP team to develop and maintain language for general ESG use as well as well as for the Portfolios with Purpose strategies. * Support ESG learning & development for regional training initiatives. Job Qualifications & Key Attributes The ideal candidate should have: * 5-7 years of experience in the investment-management industry (or related investment experience), with direct ESG-related experience within Product Management. * Broad investment-management and financial-market knowledge, ideally with expertise in the ESG landscape. * Intellectually curious about the capital markets, and finding creative ways to connect with our clients and prospects globally * Current CFA or progressing towards preferred * Ability to work effectively under pressure while multitasking, adhering to tight deadlines and maintaining strategic relationships with internal partners * Ability to influence decisions leveraging strategic insights based on experience/knowledge * Highly detail-oriented and organized * An understanding of the global institutional and retail marketplace: understanding client needs, ESG market trends and the competitive landscape * Strong marketing and messaging skills, with the vision to create and maintain a compelling story for the firm's ESG strategies and capabilities * A team player with highly developed interpersonal skills, including coll
