What is the job? This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our first Flagship practices . The practice is purpose built and state of the art with 13 surgeries, in 2019 we merged 3 sites within Halifax into this brand new space on Broad Street. This is already a large and busy practice with huge potential for further growth. As the Flagship Practice Manager you will be responsible for driving your practices performance by delivering set objectives relating to revenue targets, KPIs and cost management. You will recruit, retain and directly manage a team of professional self-employed Clinicians plus the employed support staff of Nurses and Receptionists. A Practice Manager is responsible for audit and financial processes which must be completed to company and CQC standards. You will receive support from your Area Manager, Clinical Support Manager and Clinical Director plus have full access to our mydentist Support Centre specialist teams. You will also be supported on site by a Head Receptionist, Assistant Manager (from a clinical background) and a Patient Coordinator (responsible for the smooth running of private treatment cases). What will I need to achieve? Due to its size, the Halifax practice is budgeted for incredible year-on-year growth, with an EBITDA target circa £3million from both NHS and Private treatments. You will provide excellent leadership of the whole practice team and engage with your Dentists to share your vision. We are looking for someone who can create and execute a business plan to take the practice to the top of the industry. What skills do I need? * Experience of planning for long and short term business growth * Strong commercial awareness/business acumen - Experience of analysing financial data including profit and loss accounts to make problem solving commercial decisions relating to practice EBITDA * Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with colleagues, clinical professionals, customers and senior management to achieve your business plan * Leadership and management experience of a large team Candidates from profitable and ambitious customer focussed sectors would be a great fit - i.e., optical, pharmacy, private health or retail. Anything else I should know? As a mydentist Practice Manager you will complete a comprehensive induction programme which includes face-to-face, on the job and online learning modules. A legal requirement of your role is to become a CQC registered Manager. Mydentist will support you in your application and interview following your induction. More information can be found online.
