Find out more about our team at careers.mixlr.com. The Role - Remote (UK only) We're looking for an experienced software engineer to drive development of our Android application. Mixlr has thousands of active broadcasters who reach millions of listeners each month. Our native Android application is one of our most popular clients for both broadcasters and listeners, but is also behind our other applications, in terms of functionality and user experience. You will be responsible for driving forward the development of this application, making it a first-class part of the Mixlr product line-up. You will work closely with Product, UX and our backend engineers, introducing and establishing the latest best practices from the Android ecosystem. Requirements Key Responsibilities (What Youll Be Doing) * Leading development initiatives for our Android application * Managing CI/CD and Play store submissions * Integrating UI elements * Introducing best practices for testing * Fixing and improving existing services * Establishing best practices from the Android ecosystem Core Skills (What We Want to See) * Deep knowledge of Java (Kotlin a plus) * Good understanding of UI development on Android * Experience working with Material Design * Strong written communications * Fluent with Git * Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude * Motivated by refactoring and modernising existing applications * Self-driven, open to collaboration and able to work independently Knowledge & Experience * BA/BSc degree or prior relevant engineering experience * At least 3 years Android development experience * Android Play store release and deployment process experience * Audio experience is a massive plus Benefits * Competitive salary * High-level of autonomy * Professional development with supporting tools or resources as required * Remote team with an office in East London's creative hub * Social gatherings after every second product development cycle (all virtual for now)
