Job Description As a Food Advisor you'll provide professional services to key retail clients, and will be responsible for ensuring that products are safe and legal, providing consultancy for legal and technical compliance, specification interrogation, pack copy generation, artwork approval, food labelling legislation, technical standards and advertising. You'll provide advice relating to Legislation, Codes of Practice and Guidelines to clients upon request, prepare and check pack copy in accordance with the client's requirements taking information from supplier specifications, ensuring that pack copy adheres to all current and pending UK and EU Legislation, Codes of Practice and Industry Guidelines. Your key contacts will be clients, suppliers, design agencies, print houses and any other internal or external parties, you will also attend internal and external meetings with clients, suppliers and other bodies as required. Qualifications * Extensive experience in a Regulatory Affairs role, or in a related field. * Hold a track record of managing external client pressures jointly with internal pressures and deadlines. * Fully conversant with UK and EU Legislation. * Confident in preparing and approving legally compliant pack copy information for labels/artwork to meet the regulatory requirements. * Commercially aware of the food and consumer products industry. * Professional in their dealings with clients to provide information confirming compliance issues. * Knowledge of completing on-line retailer. * Possess excellent spoken and written communication skills and able to communicate efficiently and effectively to the team and a wider audience. * Can plan and prioritise own work and other people's when necessary, demonstrating excellent time management skills. * Degree or equivalent Food/Science Qualification. Additional Information As a Food Advisor, you'll receive a salary of between 30,000 to 35,000 per annum depending on experience, plus you'll benefit from 25 days annual leave, retail discount scheme, private health cover, contributory stakeholder pension scheme and life cover.
