Job Description

Data Governance Lead - Transformation Data Governance Lead required for a large scale transformation project, the critical expectation of the candidate will be that they can come in and set up the DG capability in a green-field environment, bring a best-practice knowledge of the artefacts required, understand the detail of data quality management, the roles and responsibilities of a DG organisation and most importantly, understand the business change implications of setting up and running a successful DG organisation. Key Responsibilities * Establish and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities * Roll out an enterprise wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behaviour policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture * Serve as a liaison between Business SMEs, Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for managing data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning * Serve as a liaison between Data Protection and Security areas to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly understood, communicated and implemented * Develop & maintain inventory of the enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems, owners * Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise * Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements * Lead Senior Management, comprising resources from the Business and Functional areas and IT business and operations functions, to achieve their objectives; resolve issues escalated from Business and Functional areas data governance representatives * Guide users through data governance concepts, explaining the benefits of data governance policies and procedures within the context of the user's needs * Coordinate external data sources to eliminate redundancy and streamline the expense related to those services * Mapping of data flows will be an integral element of the role to ensure data lineage is understood and data integrity is maintained in developed solutions Apply now for immediate consideration by send your CV to j.seabright@roc-search.com, or apply through this advert.
