General Maintenance Operative
Overview
Job Description
* Will be required to guarantee all sites external areas are maintained to an impeccable standard. * Will carry out basic duties such as: cutting grassed areas, hedge cutting, plant spraying. * Provide management with relevant information/reporting as required * Reporting any site issues, maintenance issues, equipment issues or any security suspicions to the correct department. * Monitoring and checking the quality of the service carried out during the shift will need to be done once before the Ground Maintenance Operative leaves for the day - updating the contracts manager of the outcome. * Basic understanding of mobile phone/text services use. * Excellent communication skills, ability to adapt, organisation skills and time maintenance * Some degree of flexibility with overtime and shifts. * UK Driving license, PA1 & PA6 spraying license Health and Safety responsibilities: * Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times; * Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment; * Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received; * Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system; Information Security: * Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities; * Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager; * Report actual and suspected security incidents; Note: This job description Is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for this position and the range of duties undertaken.
