Job Description

Delivery Drivers - Longtown Delivery Drivers - an established logistics company is searching for Delivery Drivers to deliver small parcels to domestic and business addresses across the local area. This is a great opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join the team working from a new depot opening in May 2020. Key Duties: Collection of small parcels from depot (no sorting) Follow pre-planned routes (Sat nav provided) Provide excellent levels of customer service Requirements: We are looking for individuals with a minimum age of 25, you must hold a Driving Licence (6 points or less) and be able to pass a drug and alcohol test. No previous delivery driver experience is necessary. What is on offer: Day Plan - The company will ensure that all parcels are sorted and ready to be loaded, all routes are local to the area and pre-programmed, furthermore all drivers are provided with east to follow step-by-step software and sat nav devices. Training - structured training is provided to all new starters, this includes a full induction, shadowing drivers and building experience on smaller rounds. Vehicle Hire Available - Most of our drivers take advantage of our vehicle hire scheme; this means it is not necessary to have your own vehicle and there is a fuel card scheme available on all options available; A) Hire Van via company which comes fully insured and is yours to use for personal use - £195 per week B) Hire van via company - organise own insurances - £100 per week C) Use own van which is fully insured by you - no cost Hours - working days are planned to 9 hours; this includes loading time and travel time. Your working day finishes when you complete your route, which means the faster you work the earlier you finish. Salary & Benefits - the salary is £114 a day; the average basic wage is £2,200 to £2,800 a month depending on the amount of days worked (5-6 to 6 days a week average). Drivers can also expect to earn an extra up to £500 a month in performance related bonuses taking potential earnings to £3,300 a month.
