Job Description

In order for supplies to reach their final destination, stock, people, routes, spaces, and times must align in precise order, creating a supply chain. This process is not always smooth, and is often plagued by delays, miscommunication and other errors, your role is to recognise capacity constraints, risks and inefficiencies in our supply chain through the constant review of data and processes and to make suggestions to remove or improve them, you will ensure supply can always meet demand. You will analyse and report on our raw material inventory holding at all sites, working closely with internal departments to provide the information and insight to support the reduction of our inventory holding. You will constantly be seeking to improve the way we do things. What youll do * Develop and drive new insight into Supply Chains performance through data analysis and its interpretation * The ability to recognise opportunities to improve Supply Chain processes and systems and to quantify potential benefits to support building business cases * Provide routine and ad hoc information to the management team to support operational decision-making * Undertake analysis into a wide variety of critical business projects, such as the design and launch of new warehouses * Capture and document project requirements in a clear and concise fashion * Continuously improve the sales forecasting processes and systems, ensuring that forecast accuracy is consistently improving * Short, medium and long range capacity modelling * You will identify bottlenecks and capacity issues within our Supply Chain operations in advance of them becoming an issue making suggestions to rectify. * Analyse and report the raw inventory holding and pipeline by customer, commodity, buyer and by stock turn, moving, non-moving & obsolete etc * Work closely with suppliers, buyers, planners to eliminate excess stock, minimise inventory holding and to reduce waste without risking core operations. Skills, knowledge and abilities required to be effective in this position * You will have a deep understanding of Supply chain management and logistics operations * Proven track record in an analytical role within the Supply Chain * You will have exceptional analytical skills and an aptitude for practical problem-solving. * Demonstrable background in Inventory management * Articulate and persuasive - you will be able to explain complex ideas and data findings to key stakeholders. * It is essential to be an advanced user of Excel and to be comfortable undertaking analysis using complex formulas. * Proven knowledge of MRP based systems, ideally Dynamics * Proven track record in an analytical role within the Supply Chain * Demonstrable background in Inventory management * High proficiency in MRP systems * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Proven examples of driving business/ process improvements * High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel * Proven track record in influencing stakeholders Our Culture Youre a confident self-starter, able to juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, exciting and entrepreneurial environment.
