Overview
Job Description
An experienced Cost Accountant is being recruited by Bond Williams Accounting and Finance for a manufacturing client based in the Bournemouth area. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will have responsibility for assisting with production planning, cost management, develop labour and overhead rates and analyse actuals (labour/materials/overhead costs) against standard costs and budget. You will also look at cost saving initiatives, implement and monitor these on an ongoing basis, complete annual operating plan and monthly forecasts, inventory and other manufacturing projects. You will need to ensure BOMs are accurate, drive efficiencies, ensure inventory control processes are robust to ensure accuracy and manage monthly variances. You will need to be CIMA or ACCA qualified with a strong background in manufacturing and cost accounting/cost management, together with exceptional Excel skills and good knowledge of ERP systems.
