As Frontiers continues to grow, we are committed to ensuring a rigorous, constructive and transparent review process. To meet this commitment, we are expanding our review operations team. What you can expect from the role: * As a Review Operations Specialist, you will manage a portfolio of journals or journal sections with responsibility for ensuring a timely and thorough review process for all submitted manuscripts. * You will respond to all queries relating to the review process from editors, reviewers, authors and colleagues in other departments. * You will carry out quality control checks to ensure rigorous peer review with no conflicts of interest. * You will liaise with authors, reviewers and editors to improve processes and ensure that manuscripts move smoothly through the peer review process. * You will analyse and provide proactive recommendations for developments and improvements of our peer review platform. * You will work in a fun and vibrant environment with an enthusiastic and friendly team. Requirements Who you are: * You have a positive, professional attitude, the ability to quickly and accurately manage large volumes of information and to prioritize and react effectively to urgent situations. * You are target- and customer-oriented with a pro-active and resilient personality. * You are an excellent communicator, with interpersonal skills and a professional and courteous telephone manner. * You have at least a BSc/BA degree, with a background in Health preferred * Prior experience in scholarly publishing is not essential, but is a plus.
