Job Description
The Senior Manager, Training applies their therapy area knowledge, business knowledge, commercial acumen and training expertise to drive improved performance and growth for Biogen business across the ECP region. This position will focus on therapy area, product and competitor knowledge and the commercial skills required to deliver against the business goals for customer facing employees. The position will utilize internal Biogen personnel (Medical, Sales, Sales Force Effectiveness, Global Learning, Regulatory and Compliance) along with external vendors, to execute high impact learning initiatives and is responsible for tracking learning assignments, evaluating results, adapting and refining learning plans as required. The role supports appropriate and optimal use of the LMS, including liaising with business stakeholders to determine appropriate curricula development, assignment profiles and appropriate reporting to monitor outcome. _Responsibilities_ The role is responsible for building and sustaining relationships with business stakeholders, working to understand learning needs, proposing, developing and implementing learning solutions: * Liaise with regional commercial teams to assess field commercial training needs and strategy * Ensure all content is accurate, comprehensive and aligned with strategic objectives, business priorities and regional needs. * Coordinate and manage content review process to ensure material is accurate, aligned with strategic objectives and in compliance with Biogen policies * Collaborate and work cross-functionally with Medical training counterparts as appropriate to ensure alignment and maximize efficiencies * Determine and coordinate appropriate vehicles and venues for training activities (e.g., e-learning modules, Webex presentations, workshops) * Identify and engage internal and external speakers * Ensure personal expertise necessary to support training's across disease state * Deliver/ support Foundation, Continuing and Advanced Training offerings as needed * Develop and maintain standardized training compliance metrics and reporting based upon business demand (i.e. departmental requirements/project deliverables). * Manage project-specific budgets, vendors and reporting on the activities * At least 5 years' experience within a Pharmaceutical/Biotech company or medical communication agency * Knowledge of the field commercial role * A firsthand knowledge and experience of blended learning approach and principles of adult learning * Excellent Communication skills in English * Strong customer orientation * Excellent presentation skills * You are a self-starter and quick learner, capable of shifting priorities * Bachelor's Degree The Senior Manager, Training will cover Europe, Canada and Partner Markets (ECP). The role is responsible for building and sustaining relationships with business stakeholders, working to understand learning needs, proposing, developing and implementing learning solutions.
