Company Description Home Instead Senior Care is an international leader in providing non-medical care and companionship services. Job Description A typical CAREGivers evening: First of all you will greet you client and take interest in their day. Ensuring you are taking time to talk to your client is an essential part of you role as a CAREGiver due to the understanding that human kindness is a big part of client well-being. You may also have to prepare their chosen evening meal, and assist them to the dining room or setting them up in their chosen place to eat. Not forgetting to feed their house pet! Light house-keeping duties can be carried out whilst they are eating or they may prefer to have a conversation over dinner. You may also be tasked in assisting them to the toilet or commode before supporting them in their evening routine. Some duties that this may involve is assisting in washing, brushing teeth, changing into pyjamas, leaving the radio/tv on for them. You will also need to make sure they have everything they need for the night time period for example: Panic button, hot water bottle, hot drink, glass of water or remote. Preparing the next morning's breakfast /clothes and ensuring the house is secure before you leave. You may wake up with your client throughout the night and ensure there needs are met whether that is assisting them with the commode/toilet, settling them again, offering a snack or drink of their choice or simply having a chat with them until they are ready to settle again. Your main role will be to be there and offer gentle reassurance throughout the night. In the morning,If your client is ready to get up, you will wake up and help your client with their morning routine such as getting breakfast, getting dressed and assisting with medication before you leave. Qualifications We are looking for people with the right qualities and values to make the very best CAREGivers. Experience is not necessary as we provide a high standard of in-house training based in our office in Pewsey and therefore support you in developing your skills.
