As an Associate Director Psychometrician, you will be part of the PCE Statistical Services leadership. As such, you will be expected to offer project support and broad consultancy for clients, provide support, guidance and training for junior colleagues, and contribute to PCE scientific strategy and business operations. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: For clients: o Serves as team lead of the quantitative analysis workstream of projects of complex scope where an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors is required and serves as the primary client contact on statistical topics. o May participate as high level lead statistician/psychometrician on major project(s) including developing/reviewing protocols, preparing analysis plans, and writing sections of joint clinical/statistical reports, as required. o Represents clients at meetings with regulatory agencies or other regulatory meetings (typically related to COA commitments). o Drives clients to accept novel ways of thinking and paradigm shifts. Facilitates breakthrough strategy development with client statistical leads. Clearly articulates scientific and/or economic impact of transformation and the value to the client. o Manages the analytical process, ensuring superior quality. Works with others to ensure proper analytical tools are selected. o Engages in design thinking to consider present and future conditions that generate practical and creative problem resolution options to drive client discussions. For colleagues: o Serves as a COA statistical consultant for other members of the department and staff members from other statistics departments within the company. For the business: o Maintains knowledge and awareness of developments in psychometrics, statistics and clinical trial methodology, and regulatory requirements that impact on analyses of COA data. o Participates in independent research activities, teaching opportunities, presentations, and preparation of manuscripts for publication. Other responsibilities include: Presents research findings to industry clients and at professional conferences. Publish research in-peer reviewed literature. Assists with the development of strategies on PRO endpoints and regulatory matters. Leads the proposal preparation and text related to statistical analyses and participate in bid defense meetings. Ensures that all proposals bid by the statistical services functional group have an adequate budget, and sufficiently detailed set of budget assumptions. Develops customer relationships and fulfill the trusted advisor role on COA related statistical topics to client statistical leads. Participates in the continuous improvement of functional processes and procedures. Proactively continues to strengthen his/her own subject matter expertise, maintains proficiency of skills and knowledge and remain current with industry trends, developments in biostatistics, psychometrics and clinical trial methodology, and regulatory requirements that impact on analyses, etc. Shares subject matter expertise. Works on projects where independent judgment is used within generally defined procedures and practices. Supports proposal writing and business development activities. About You Candidates interested in joining our Patient Centered Endpoints team as a Statistician 1 should have: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong knowledge and experience with applying most psychometric analysis methods (Classical Test Theory (CTT), Item Response Theory (IRT), Item Factor Analysis (iFA), Exploratory and Confirmatory models, Structural Equation Modelling, etc.) Strong computer skills, including Statistical programs (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R, MpLus) and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/technical writing skills Excellent attention and accuracy with details. Ability to confidently communicate with and effectively present information to internal team. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects. Strong individual initiative. Strong organizing skills.
