Category & Consumer Insights Manager Haddenham, UK MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead insights and data analytics for food & beverage flavour markets and multiple categories in EMEA and beyond. To guide the development of business growth strategy for EMEA Flavour Solutions, using multiple sources including, published market data, research agencies, syndicated tools and category assessments (market assessment value/ volume proposition, listing arguments, competitive positioning, customer & category brand insights etc). * Lead insights section of customer facing meetings across EMEA. Provide critical market insights to influence customers gained through in-depth understanding of the customer / consumers / category / brand and F&B trends. Proactively research an analyse F&B, Flavour and ingredients trends to drive business direction and in turn growth. B2B: develop B2B communication plan to reinforce McCormick capability and attract new business using various tools (e.g. relevant Trade Press, Trade Shows) * Own, manage and upgrade creative tool box e.g. 'In market experience food safari's and 'Innovation Workshops' to deliver flavour innovations. Through leveraging the toolkit and resources Identify white space analysis and flavour recommendations for internal stakeholders and customers. * Manage daily activities of assigned projects, identify resource requirements, review deliverables prior to presentation to the customer, apply our capabilities to assigned projects with maximum cost effectiveness and highest return on investment * Drive, own and present quarterly consumer & market data/insights review across all areas of the business for internal and external customers to strengthen partnerships to include design, execution, analysis and recommendations * Capture insights into the behaviour of the consumer. Understand the emotions consumers (motivation, moods, desires & actions) to deliver a strong and sustainable NPD pipeline. * Lead and develop the strategic direction for M&I insights function including identification of key projects to meet business LTP needs, insight budgets recommendation, agency selection and contract management CANDIDATE PROFILE * At least BSc degree from Marketing, Market research or Social studies. M.A seen as an asset * CIM Diploma or member of Market Research Society not required but seen as an asset * Previous experience in Marketing and Insights (Customer facing) * Experience in regional (EMEA) Insights/market research/research agency with frequent contacts with marketing/Innovation and NPD including proven experience in all research disciplines: qualitative, quantitative and continuous data interpretation. * Comprehensive understanding of marketing and NPD with experience in international businesses * Above average communications and presentation skills * Exceptional in developing compelling insights presentations * Experience with presenting to customers * Data analytics skills - ability to pull data from multiple sources and interpret into actionable insights
