Overview
Job Description
The candidate will be a senior member of a development team within Markets IT working on an application to replace the current system supporting the FX Overlay business. The candidate will need deep knowledge of the technologies being used and should be able to guide more junior members of the team. The candidate will be located in the BNY Canada Square Office in London and will report to the IT manager for the FX Overlay technology group. Job Qualifications 10 years of hands-on experience developing financial trading applications, and a high level of proficiency in the following technical skills with are desired for the role: Java J2EE HTML5/React SQL Server database Experience developing large scale applications with micro services based architectures Experience with working in a distributed Agile development team Strong Knowledge of Foreign Exchange and FX Overlay business The candidate should have experience of working on large scale development projects, be a good communicator and be comfortable interacting with other team members in an agile environment, on- and off-shore, and with all levels of the Overlay business. BS or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree or certification beneficial.
