Job Description
Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias) Pirbright About the role We currently have an opportunity at our manufacturing site in Pirbright for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team. You would be responsible for implementing corrective & preventive maintenance of all mechanical/electrical equipment on site and to ensure compliance to UK and Boehringer Ingelheim HSE, Bio security, appropriate GMP standards, enabling the reliable and safe operation of the manufacturing facility. Due to the required on-call response time, applicants must live within 45mins of the site (normal traffic conditions) - GU24 0NQ Key Accountabilities: * Effective preventive maintenance of process/utility equipment and systems that provide essential services for site production * Effective fault finding and problem solving on mechanical/electrical systems to minimise business impact * Implements installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical/electrical equipment * To ensure adherence with all site specific, H&S, Biosafety and GMP procedures * To identify and implement improvements in mechanical/electrical standards and efficiencies on the site following site procedures * To work as part of the maintenance team to maintain the site to a safe and reliable standard, sharing skill and expertise with team members to ensure an efficient and effective maintenance service * Fully respects UK and company HSE, Bio Security and GMP Standards * Manages multiple maintenance issues on a daily basis, requiring the application of expertise and prioritisation based on risk/business impact and understanding of processes What experience / skills you need * Deep knowledge and experience of mechanical/electrical equipment (installation and fault finding) * Good awareness of manufacturing and site processes and protocols * Ability to make risk assessments * Recognised training to City & Guilds standard (Mechanical) * Good working knowledge of plant steam system * Ability to work independently as well as part of a ...
