Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip company, responsible for the manufacture of PG Tips, is currently embarking on the 2nd phase of recruitment for Packing Operatives, based at Trafford Park, Manchester. This is a full-time, temporary role potentially up to Middle of June 2020 and possibly longer. These roles will include 3 rotating shifts to include nights paying £10.55 per hour. There is also weekend shifts available (Days and Nights) paying £12.90 per hour. 3 Rotating Shift Pattern, all shift will have to be worked on a rotating weekly pattern * Week A: Monday 7.20am-3.30pm, Tuesday to Friday 7.20am - 2.30pm * Week B Monday - Thursday 2.20pm - Thursday 10.20pm, Friday 2.20pm-9.30pm * Week C: Monday - Thursday 10.20pm-7.30am Weekend Shift Pattern; * Week A: Saturday- Sunday 7.20am-7.30pm * Week B: Friday 9.20pm - 7.30am, Saturday- Sunday 7.20pm-7.30am MAIN JOB PURPOSE: * Manual unfolding, filling and hooding of a Trade unit box with cartons of finished products. * Putting on to the conveyor for labelling, removing at the other end and manually stacking. * Assisting operator with Carton loading, reel loading and Hygiene and housekeeping. * Manually logging material usage for traceability. * Support of rework area as required supporting the management of rework stock KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: * Act safely & protect yourself and others. * Ensure plant, equipment & operating environment remains clean * Monitor & develop own skills & competencies in line with business needs * Help colleagues in the delivery of our factorys objectives * Communicate issues & concerns to the appropriate individuals * Seek an understanding of & follow site procedures KEY COMPETENCIES: * Quality Conscious: * Problem Solving: * Team Working: * Flexible: * Communicating: * Quick Learning: Key Skills and Job Tasks * Safety Awareness * Ensure that Safety practices are observed at all times. * Being aware of health or safety hazards / near misses * Noting danger or warning symbols * Noting unusual occurrences * Checking Objects, Work, Procedures etc * Checking work completion instruction * Checking reworked product relabelling/coding correct * Checking work completion to current site standards * Checking adherence to schedules * Ensure correct completion of paperwork * Teamwork * Following logical or systematic instruction * Assists colleagues to meet deadlines * Problem Solving * Identifying problems in any physical process * Breaking down a procedure into logical steps * Escalate issues * Performing Physical Tasks * Comply with Manual handling regulations * Working at Height Regulations * Quality * Adhere to site quality standards in place on site * Adhere to quality rework instruction and procedures including: * Separation of product as per rework instruction * Shredding's correctly allocated as per process * Correct labelling of reworked product on production lines
