Your Role and Responsibilities You'll work with your squad of 6-8 fellow engineers to design, develop, test and maintain high quality software that you feel a strong sense of ownership for You'll relish the challenge of delving into complex problems that give you the chance to innovate You'll learn from our team of 100+ developers in Hursley, plus hundreds more worldwide, to become an expert in our product You'll build your own technical and communication skills so that you can mentor, teach and lead others, advise our customers, and report to our senior stakeholders You'll bring your whole self to the job, knowing you're in an environment where you can do your best work Required Technical and Professional Expertise Professional software development experience Alternatively, hands-on experience with storage systems and SAN networking in a non-development environment A solid grasp of and passion for good software engineering practices, either from your professional experience or education Evidence of working effectively in highly-collaborative, technical environments Authorised to work in UK Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Experience in backend, embedded or real-time software development Hands-on experience with Java, C, Python and/or Perl Familiarity with development and build toolsets such as Jenkins, GIT, Jira About Business Unit IBM Systems helps IT leaders think differently about their infrastructure.
