Job Description
We have an existing opportunity for a Buying Assistant to join our market leading construction supplies company based in Stoke-on-Trent. Our client offers a bespoke service by ensuring that the customer is at the core of their business philosophy, operations and ideas. Job Description: * As an Assistant Buyer you will be responsible for the sourcing and chasing of products to meet purchasing requirements. * You will be responsible for negotiating prices with suppliers. * As an Assistant Buyer you will track deliveries to ensure stock is delivered within agreed SLA's. * As an Assistant Buyer you will react to any changes in the market. * You will be responsible for building sustainable relationships with suppliers. * As an Assistant Buyer you will communicate effectively with colleagues up to Managing Director level. * Ensuring invoiced stock is correct as agreed. * Raising and management of purchase orders. Candidate Requirements: * Previous experience working within a purchasing department role would be ideal * Flexible approach to work * Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport * Good numeracy skills * High level of accuracy * Quick learner * Computer literate (Microsoft Office skills) * Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Able to work as part of a team or on own initiative, as required Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am-5.00pm, Friday 8.00a -4.00pm Salary: 18,000 to 20,000 per annum Brampton Recruitment are an independent Commercial and Accounts & Finance recruitment agency working in partnership with employers spanning Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and the Greater Manchester region.
