The successful candidate will be expected to produce technical data according to standard operating procedures (SOP's), maintain all equipment and instrumentation, and preparing samples for testing, reporting outcomes effectively and communicate/interact with all business functions. Employment type : Full time & Permanent Probation: 6 months Salary : Competitive and commensurate with experience Candidate Profile Excellent team working skills Strong communication skills Quality conscious and methodical approach to work, with excellent attention to detail Strong integrity and personal ethics aligned to their principles Experience of working in a laboratory environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given Flexible Ability to effectively and efficiently manage own workload and work to deadlines Responsibilities: Performing laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support Quality Assurance and New Product Development Carrying out routine tasks accurately and precisely Preparing specimens and samples; assembling, maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced Recording and interpreting results to present to senior colleagues, when required Using computers and performing simple mathematical calculations Keeping up to date with technical developments Maintain high housekeeping standards To work safely 100% of the time To ensure that all assigned work is delivered in a timely manner To communicate we with both internal and external customers Any other roles & responsibilities as required by IKO The full time, permanent position comes with a company paid health plan, contributory pension, Life Assurance plan, 24 days holidays increasing to 26 days in addition to bank holidays and free on site parking.
