UI Designer - N.B. This is not a graphic design role. Location - A short walk from Southampton central train station with some home working available Overview I am currently working with one of the fastest growing, dynamic, rapidly expanding, ethical, environmentally caring, non-corporate companies in the South. "Everyone is so lovely" About the role We are looking for a talented user interface designer. You will help them create delightful experiences that are simple to use and exceed customer needs. You'll be working with everyone in the business and you will help drive our product agenda. An example of some of the problems you'll be helping to prioritise and solve are: How can we improve the onboarding experience for new customers? How can we it easier for people to understand their bills? How do we elevate the perception of our brand through product? How can you improve the first impression people have of the brand? How can we increase Refer a Friend acquisition? How can we better track our performance? As a UI Designer, the tasks you'll take part in User research Analyse product performance Help define requirements Partner with UX designers Design the user interface and interactions Define our design system Work with stakeholders to get to the right solution Help prioritise which features to build and when Work with tech to deliver Track the performance of what we deliver Mentor junior team members Help improve processes and quality About you You always have the user at the heart of your thinking. You are a seasoned digital product designer with proven track record delivering user experiences across mobile and desktop. You are a self-starter with a can-do attitude. You are a truly creative person with a strong sense for detail. You've taken part in, or better still, led user research activities and are comfortable talking with customers. You are a good communicator and bring people with you as you work. You have a track record of moving KPIs significantly. You can measure your impact and get down to why things have moved. You are willing to contribute towards the wider product discussion and help us decide what to do and when. You're a team player and value people over process. You don't play politics.
