Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Architectural Technician to work for a reputable, well-established manufacturing business who offer innovative designs to their customers. The role is to join a thriving existing project team to work alongside Product Design and Technical Support working for an innovative, entrepreneurial, acquisitive and growing business. As a consequence, the Architectural Technician will be involved with improving their facilities and also undertake property development projects. An interesting and unique aspect of the role will be interaction with your colleagues in Technical Support and the Product Design Team. Job Description: * As the Architectural Technician you will be creating building and interior designs (including furniture design) with highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using CAD applications * Evaluating the feasibility of potential projects * As the Architectural Technician you will be applying for planning permission and building regulation approval * Writing and presenting reports, proposals, applications and contracts * As the Architectural Technician you will be specifying the requirements for the project you are managing * Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during construction * As the Architectural Technician you will be playing a part in project and team management * Travelling to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings * As the Architectural Technician you will be supporting the Product Development Team with building construction issues and the creation of BIM models Candidate Requirements: * AutoCAD experience and Revit experience would be an advantage * Architectural degree or similar * Previous experience working within an Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist role is essential * Previous experience managing projects is essential. * Experience of BIM is essential * Ability to drive due to travelling to client meetings * Good time management skills * Attention to detail. * A hands-on approach * A dynamic and passionate approach is required to provide product designs that improve and aid manufacturing processes. * A 'can do' positive attitude and definitely not a 9-5 mentality * A general all-round ability to communicate at all levels This role would suit people who also have the following experience: Architectural Technician, Architectural Technologist, Architect.
