Job Description

For Worcestershire Council we are currently looking for an experienced PA to support the head of their Legal and Democratic Services department. The role is to: * Proactively provide all PA functions to the Head of Legal and Democratic Services including administrative services, records management, financial systems and other databases administration. * Arrange meetings. * Minute taking. * Diary management. * Assist in managing the Head of Service's inbox to prioritise or respond as needed. * Proactively arrange conference and travel bookings for senior managers. * Collate reports and background papers for Council, Cabinet and other member meetings. ? * Collate user survey information and produce survey reports. ? * Manage the law library and ordering. * Manage the legal fees (external lawyers) spreadsheet. * Liaise with elected members and senior officers as needed. ? * Receive and respond to internet-based queries; emails; letters and telephone calls; initiating and taking action when necessary on behalf of senior management. * Ensure that correspondence and other information is appropriately filed ; electronic files are kept up to date and that bring forward and reminder systems are operated efficiently.? * Assist with specific projects as directed/on behalf of senior managers and consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.
