RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS WHO WE LOOK FOR Goldman Sachs Engineers are innovators and problem-solvers, building solutions in risk management, big data, mobile and more. The Structured Products Public Distribution engineering team at Goldman Sachs is responsible for designing and building front to back, highly scalable technology solutions that will allow the business to significantly grow and transform the marketplace. This covers everything from the creation of systems to handle product issuance, services responsible for document generation, trade booking engines, lifecycle and more. Innovation and ambition is central to our delivery and this is no truer that with the issuance stack. The Public Distribution team is working to transform the existing stack into a highly scalable, available set of services which can be used to automate the end to end issuance process and remove as many manual touch points as possible. As an engineer within Public Distribution engineering, you will be working closely with our trading, product origination and operations teams to further the automation efforts across the stack using a variety of leading open source technologies. This in turn drives expansion of the client offering into new products and markets. We are pursuing engineers across the stack who enjoy working in a client driven and agile environment; from those who are confident developing low latency, scalable and resilient enterprise solutions through to individuals passionate in implementing responsive user interfaces. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS + Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science or related field of study. + 2+ years of commercial experience with Python, Java or Javascript. + Excellent problem solving, analytical, functional and technical skills. + Broad knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance. + Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a global team. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Experience working with Kubernetes or other container based platforms. + Responsive web development using ReactJS. + Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDb. + Keen interest or experience with equities products.
