EU ROC Overview European ROC (Relay Operations Center) is the central control center for Transportation Execution across the Amazon's European Transportation network, supporting both domestic and inter-country transportation movements for European geographies. The team is responsible for planning and scheduling the trucks/vehicles to be placed at each of our fulfillment centers across Europe, based on various factors such as forecast, historical trends, vehicles capacity and carrier capabilities. ROC plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Amazon's European transportation network and thereby has direct impact on Amazon's ability to serve customers on time. Purview of Process Lead The successful candidate will act as the process expert for Amazon's ROC Fleet team. You will be the subject matter expert on workflow, systems and how our people interact with our processes. You will Deep Dive into the operation in order to drive continuous improvement against our driver metrics, working with shift leads and key stakeholders. You will act as a process owner, and will be accountable for process change implementation within your area of responsibility. To be successful in this role, you need a passion for making data driven decisions which will have direct impact on customer experience in a live operating environment. You will also be required to manipulate this data to present a problem statement to senior leadership and transportation stakeholders to direct long term fixes and ensure implementation. Some keys to your success are the ability to be an effective communicator to various audiences. The ability to remain flexible and adapt to learning new tools and systems is instrumental in your role on the team. Our environment is deadline driven, fast paced, and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable interacting and working with multiple teams (business and technical). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Act as the process owner for the business unit, responsible for any changes or improvements to process. Develop action plans and facilitate them through senior leaders and stakeholders to drive completion. Maintain and utilize a number of performance metrics Owns, tracks, or escalates issues to ensure that they are addressed and documented Quality assurance of our processes to ensure smooth workflow and execution. Seek for opportunities for further automation and improvement of flow tools Must be flexible in terms of work schedule Participates in recruiting efforts Active in the training and/or development of others through coaching.
