Job Description

We are currently working with a leading independent UK based manufacturer, supplier and installer of industrial doors, roller shutters and loading bay solutions who are looking for an experienced Industrial Door Engineer based in the Glasgow area. The company we are working with have engineers currently situated throughout the country, providing maintenance, installation and repair works to industrial door and loading bay equipment in a designated geographical area, suitable to their residency. The role for the Industrial Door Engineer will involve; * Fitting new industrial doors, loading bay equipment and roller shutters. * Working as part of a two-man team with an Engineer's Mate. * Driving the van to site and ensuring all tools and parts are kept stocked and clean. * Carrying out servicing and repairs to high-speed doors, rapid-roll doors, roller shutters, fire doors, steel doors, personnel doors, dock shelters and levellers and scissor lifts. At present, a call-out rota is in operation however participation in this rota is optional, and the role can be flexible to your personal life to suit. To be considered for this role, you will ideally have; * Previous experience, at least 7 years in the repair, installation and maintenance of loading bay equipment and industrial doors. * A full UK driving license. * An IPAF, PASMA and CSCS Card would be desirable for this position. * An NVQ 2 in Industrial Doors, DHF or GateSafe Qualification would increase the basic salary for the role. * Good electrical fault-finding experience and skills.
