The nursery is part of a larger local group of Kindred settings and provides the support for a manager to develop within a wider family of colleagues. Our managers Kindred managers come from a variety of backgrounds and have entered nursery management via different journeys; along the way developing experience and skills that enrich our Kindred family. Your role * To ensure the highest standards of early years care and education across the nursery * To build and maintain a reputation as the nursery of choice in the area for both children and employees * To maintain a stable, positive and effective staff team * To participate proactively in wider company activities and projects in order to build and enhance the Kindred family * To sustain a commercially viable business by mindful budgeting and consistently aiming for challenging targets * To oversee a safe, stimulating and healthy environment in which children and staff can flourish * To support and lead the nursery team by inspiring, motivating, mentoring and directing * To meet the highest standards and expectations set by OFSTED, other external agencies and Kindred senior management Your skills, experience and qualifications * Proven leadership in a senior position within childcare * Detailed knowledge of OFSTED and the EYFS guidelines * A high level of organisational ability * A passion for child-centred education * An ability to interact confidently and effectively with external agencies * Experience of interfacing with parents and providing excellent customer service * A commitment to continued professional development and growth * A clear understanding of safeguarding and SEN provision * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * A minimum Level 3 childcare qualification Benefits * A competitive salary * Enhanced holidays to take your well-deserved break, plus no work on your birthday * Company sick pay to support you when you are under the weather * Discounted childcare to enable your children to be part of the magic * Awards, bonuses, health care plans, employee assistance schemes, flexible benefits, training and development and of course, a great place to work.
