Job Description

A long-established and growing family-owned business is seeking a high-performing Operations Manager based in Hereford. The business is currently turning over 12m and has ambitious but realistic growth plans to achieve over 50m within three years. The main purpose of the role is to coordinate and oversee business operations. Focusing on implementing processes and practices across the organisation. The specific duties of the operations manager include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and maintaining H&S Standards. You should be prepared to mentor direct reports, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. Requirements * Oversee full Business operations * Focusing on Production, warehousing, Logistics and Servicing departments, ensuring the business operates within the company's mission statement * Management of excellent H&S standards * Management of Non-conformance logging and remedial activities * Return to work management and reporting with line managers * Recruiting and training for teams on an operational level * New employee induction training and company handover * Management review meetings with Directors * Working with department heads and senior management to get the best performance from staff * Driving the business to increase profits * Working with legal departments on any matters that occur * Reviewing and approving equipment needs * Ensuring financial targets and other agreed targets are met in all departments * Keeping employees motivated * Organising appropriate training * Reviewing working practices to ascertain if it is successful and if not, devise an alternative In order to be considered for the role, you must hold the below personal attributes: * Previous Operational management experience within a manufacturing/production environment * Experience working within the Fire Industry would be a Huge advantage * Experienced working within a business with Turnover in excess of 70m per year * IOSH and or NEBOSH qualified * Management of ISO9001, 14001, 18000 systems including Audits * Management of all other systems including Achilles, Construction Line, SMAS * Management of BAFE standards including engineer audits * Strong Leadership skills - holding people accountable to their actions * Accountable - Taking ownership of the running of operations * Hungry to push the business to Greatness inline with there growth plans * Sense of humour - ability to Lift the team, gaining the best out of them Benefits * Salary Circa between 50,000 - 60,000 per annum DOE * Generous KPI Driven Bonus Structure * Monday - Friday 06:30 - 16:30 * Car allowance - 600 per month * Free Onsite parking * Free lunch provided * 25 days holiday+ 8 days BH * Pension Scheme
