Job Description

Band 5 Staff Nurse - Endoscopy We have exciting opportunities for Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our busy Endoscopy Unit, which has recently expanded its services. We are a busy unit within the Royal Berkshire Hospital which has been recently acknowledged as Outstanding by the CQC. The Unit is a JAG accredited Unit where we currently work a 6 day working week and have the benefit of doing self-rostering with priority requests. The Endoscopy Unit is a friendly team and we welcome applications from anyone who is a good team player and has a willingness to learn and develop new skills. We are a busy, diagnostic and therapeutic unit dealing with out-patients and in-patients and we also support the Bowel Cancer Screening and Bowel Scope Programme. Candidates don't have to have any previous experience in Endoscopy, but previous experience in an acute setting is desirable and experience of working on a ward would also be preferable. We provide all in-house training and a mentor is assigned to support you during this time of learning; external study days are also provided for the specialist skills required for the therapeutic work.
