BAND 5 STAFF NURSE - OPHTHALMOLOGY (PCEU WINDSOR) PLEASE NOTE: This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonard's Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP - and attracts a High Cost Area (HCA) supplement of 5% of gross basic salary. Do not think this speciality is only cataracts, as there is a varied selection of sub-specialities to provide plenty of learning and professional development. Could you see yourself as our Glaucoma or Vitreo-Retinal specialist nurse? Could you have the desire and skills to complete the nurse practitioner role within Eye Casualty service? Perhaps a future is awaiting you within the medical retina service supporting Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Macular Oedema, as a nurse injector. Positions for Band 5 are available at the Prince Charles Eye Unit which is a stand-alone surgical unit within Windsor. This friendly unit is very supportive and proactive towards staff training and development. Although the positions available are within Outpatients, the nursing team does rotate around the department which provides variety to the working week and supports extension of professional skills. Informal visits to view the unit and meet some staff are always welcome.
