Floating Support Officer

Are you an experienced Floating Support Worker, Housing Support Worker/Officer working with supported housing clients (mental health, mild learning difficulties, homeless people/rough sleepers and probation clients? Do you want to work for an exciting and ambitious supported housing provider? My client is currently looking to appoint a Floating Support Worker to join his team on a temp basis in Harlow Essex at the rate range from £13.75 - £15.38 paye holiday paid. With your experience you will be responsible to the Senior Support Officer for the day-to-day assistance and support of tenants in their own or shared tenancies. To provide a supported service, working with tenants to ensure independent living skills are developed and maintained to sustain community living. To follow departmental policy, operational policy and objectives, implementing individual support and risk plans so as to ensure the welfare and development of each individual tenant. As a Support Worker, you will have experience of staff management including awareness of good practice in staff supervision. You will also have successful experience of working with adults with complex needs including homelessness / mental health / substance misuse problems and an understanding of the needs of people who sleep rough and have mental health problems. Additionally, you will have the ability to identify support needs of customers and to inform and implement individually tailored skill plans and how to sign post to relevant community services aligned to their individual support plans. You will also have knowledge and understanding of the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and the ability to maintain appropriate recording and filing systems, including good IT skills. You are required to have strong IT skills to be able to use database, record information on service user's folders and produce performance data on a regular basis and have had the experience of working under pressure for a previous employer in the same field. You may have experience of the following: Support Worker, Housing Support Worker, Support & Care Officer, Support Coordinator, Support Supervisor, Care & Support Leader, Care and Support Supervisor, Care Coordinator, Senior Care Worker or similar roles.
