Overview

Our client, a Newcastle based financial software provider is actively looking for a Graduate Support Analyst. You will be responsible for the following: · 2nd line software support where you will be resolving client issues of varying sizes, working with our clients to help them to successfully meet their business goals. · Investigating issues to determine if they are expected behaviour, a defect or an enhancement liaising with the client as appropriate. · Liaising with clients to understand their issues and their system needs. · Analyse and diagnose problems to determine the underlying cause of the issue, handing over the issue to the development teams for any code changes that are required. · If no code change is required, taking responsibility to resolve the issue to the client’s satisfaction · Working cooperatively with Subject Matter Experts, Product Owners, Client Relationship Managers and third parties as appropriate to fully understand and progress with issue resolution. You will have the following: · Good degree (2:2 or above) preferably in a Maths or Science based subject · Strong analytical skills, good attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities · Strong communication skills both verbal and written Desirable · Previous experience of the Java programming language · Previous experience of the SQL language · Previous customer facing experience (can be part-time or voluntary) · Ability to adapt to changing customer needs and situations S alary: Upto £21,000 plus fantastic benefits including: Bonuses : Eligible to join the bonus scheme (bonus is paid annually and is based on personal performance and the achievement of specific objectives and competencies) Holidays : 25 days per year plus bank and public holidays Pension : 7% matched contributions, operated through salary sacrifice This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89705134
