Electrical Design Engineer

Compass Resourcing are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for our client, an established manufacturer of industrial machinery. You will join a well-developed Design department where you’ll work in conjunction with mechanical colleagues designing the company’s range of products, from modifications to existing product and bespoke machinery. You’ll work on the design of electrical systems for the company’s range of machinery, producing schematics, drawings and BOM ready for manufacture. As an experienced Engineer, you’ll also have opportunity to support/mentor more junior team members, whilst being a key point of reference for internal departments across manufacturing, working in close conjunction to ensure timely delivery of projects. The company use Solidworks Electrical, so knowledge of such software is an advantage (training can be provided). · We require candidates who have come from a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Ideally from a machine building company. · Educated to degree/HND or similar level, probably in a related discipline · Experienced in Electrical design, and ideally with Siemens or Mitsubishi plc systems. · Strong communication skills This is a genuinely exciting role with a well-regarded company, financially secure and stable and with a strong order book. The department is well structured offering opportunities to progress as the role develops, and you’ll have opportunity to work on a range of interesting, challenging and varied machinery. This is a permanent position to start as soon as possible. Standard working hours are 9-5, though there is a degree of flexibility around this.
