We are looking to hear from anyone who has very strong Microsoft Excel skills, who is a confident communicator with an outgoing personality as we may have the perfect job for you here Working for a leading UK Insurance Group whose head office is in Huntingdon, the role of Operational Underwriter will sit on what they call their delegated authority team. This team get involved in loads of exciting projects and get the chance to work on and develop new insurance products where they liaise directly with insurance companies and get to project manage this from idea through to product launch The team is currently made up of 3 people, and all get on well, with the manager being a very easy going, calm and level-headed person, and two others who are very professional but all like a laugh whilst getting the job done They would like to speak to people who will add to this fun yet hard working bunch They are responsible for ensuring that the Delegated Authority requirements of the business are adhered to. As an Operational Underwriter, you will conduct insurance scheme reviews, prepare and manage delivery of product specifications and lead on system development projects. This will include attending meetings with insurance companies too To be successful in this role, as above you will need excellent Excel skills, be an outgoing and confident person with good analytical skills. You will also need to have very strong general IT skills. Those with the above skills and insurance experience would be highly desirable, however they are happy to speak to those with no industry exposure who have these skills and office-based experience, and who want to move into an insurance role.
