Overview

Biffa are currently looking for an Outsourcing Coordinator based at our Midland Court office in Barlborough to provide support and administration for the Outsourcing Supply Chain for Specialist Services. Working together with the Transfer Station Managers, Account Managers and Customer Service Teams, the successful candidate will ensure we continue to offer a first class service to our customers whilst assisting in improving the margin through negotiation of existing suppliers and the sourcing of new service solutions. Principal Accountabilities - Coordinating with Transfer Station Managers/Account Managers/Customer Service Teams and Suppliers to ensure 1st class customer service delivery is achieved. Price negotiation, contract set up, purchase order production and query resolution. Set up and maintain a Supplier Database to include KPI tables and Service Level Agreements to allow Management and Supplier performance evaluation. Produce precise Financial and Compliance data records to stringent deadlines, driving profitability and ensuring legal compliance. Assisting the Outsourcing Manager with Supplier Negotiation and Project Work as required. Perform other duties within the Specialist Service department as needed. Nature and Scope - The role of Specialist Services Outsourcing Coordinator is an administrative and support role, providing assistance in all areas of outsourcing within the Specialist Services Division. This role is responsible for sourcing relevant suppliers to the subcontract team and negotiating rates and costs with regards to 3rd party suppliers and other related subcontract activities. This negotiation will be within agreed guidelines, any negotiations outside of the guidelines will need to be signed off by the Outsourcing Manager. This position has no planning horizons, however, will work on day to day actives and ad hoc projects that could have a time span of 0 to 3 months, these will be based on the Division's annual Business Plan. The role operates within the constraints of the agreement processes and procedures and ways of working. This role is requires the incumbent to possess personal skills such as relationship management, strong communication skills and have a strong sense of customer focus, as they will need to liaise with all levels of Customers, as well as internal stakeholders such as Transfer Station Managers/Customer Services and Account Managers. The job requires the ability to multitask situations that are live - requiring immediate attention and the ability to deliver a first-class Customer Service. Person Specification - GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English. Computer Literate and confident in using Microsoft Office packages/Email. Proven administration experience with a customer focussed attitude. A good knowledge of Biffa's customer service computer systems. Strong knowledge of Excel. Ability to work in partnership with customers, peer groups and other organisations including suppliers. Robust and resilient, able to absorb pressure and respond positively. Experience of building and maintaining customer and colleague relationships. Ability to work to a high level of accuracy and have a keen eye for detail. Possess strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrate a proactive and ‘can-do' attitude. Possess strong computer skills and have a good working knowledge of MS Office. Willingness to adapt and develop skill sets and knowledge as determined by post/business.
