Lead Cook – Fresh Food Garden Centre – Lechlade on Thames– Daytime Hours A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced chef/cook to join a stunning full-service garden centre restaurant in Lechlade on Thames which caters for Breakfast and Lunch 7 days a week. As a Lead Cook, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen which delivers breakfast and lunch service using only fresh local ingredients. You will be responsible for ensuring that every service runs smoothly, that the team are organised & trained, and that the kitchen is adhering to all food hygiene and health and safety regulations. As a Lead Cook within this Kitchen you will need to be enthusiastic and lead by example and ensure that your team deliver an exceptional Breakfast and Lunch experience to the guests. You will get every other weekend off and the latest finish is 17.30 so it offers a great work/life balance. We are looking for a Lead Cook who possesses the following attributes… Thrives on working in a fast-paced environment Handles pressure calmly and professionally Comfortable with leading a team working with 100% fresh food. You will ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times, ensuring that adherence to all food hygiene and health and safety legislation is carried out every day. The ideal Lead Cook will have: Experience of managing a team Experience working with fresh food produced to company spec Good interpersonal and communication skills A full understanding of food safety and health and safety within the Kitchen.
