Factory Manager Gateshead Up to £45k Perm role My client is a leading manufacturing company, Based in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. They now have a requirement for a Factory Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director, You will be responsible for ensuring the manufacture of all machinery, spares and parts by the required time, at the correct cost and to the established quality standards. The Role -The effective management of all machine shop, inspection, assembly and PED personnel. -To ensure that all orders are manufactured and dispatched on time and to the required quality standard. -To maximise the outsourcing of machined parts to Company factory in UAE -To maximise the efficiency of machine build and with this the creation of sub-assemblies wherever possible -Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are in place and adhered to. -Ensure all appropriate training to enhance employee skill set and flexibility across all disciplines -To achieve and improve utilisation and efficiency targets -Co-operation and liaison with all relevant departments to achieve production time-scales, schedules and appropriate objectives. -Maintaining and encourage excellent housekeeping -Ensure that internal quality standards and procedures as laid down by the Quality Management System are adhered to. -To be an effective member of the company's management team and to contribute to the overall policy and objectives. -Carry out any other duties that are within capabilities Applicant requirements. - Excellent attention to detail. - Strong management skills. - Proven knowledge and experience coming from a Metal working/CNC machine shop/Engineering background.
