Software Engineer Location: Southampton Salary: Competitive A global aerospace and defence organisation are looking for a Software Engineer to work at the forefront of delivering Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) to maintain the safety and security of the UK and other countries. As an experienced software engineer, you will lead on developing software which enhances our Automatic Number Plate Reading (ANPR) capability; a key part of a wider system of CNI. In addition, there are exciting opportunities to develop proof of concepts in the areas of machine learning, big data and low latency queuing to explore how these technologies can help advance our product suite. You will be working with a small but motivated team of developers, integration and support engineers to support existing software applications and develop new components. Responsibilities - Software Engineer Working collaboratively with stakeholders to understand requirements, plan software delivery and help develop testing approach; High and low level software design; Writing high performance, production quality code; Preparing software-related documentation to support discussions with Customers and to enable software release Skills and Qualifications - Software Engineer Python C# Postgres Your eye for detail and excellent communication skills Test Management (Unit, Integration) Use of Coding Standards, and Automated Test Tools.
